Internships for Academic Credit

The School of Business Administration offers a 3 credit hour course - BUS 500 - for internships (Z-grade = pass/fail).

During your internship you will need to keep a daily log. At the end of the semester you will write a 16-20 page paper describing your experiences in the internship. All of the details are in the BUS 500 syllabus. Please download and read this.

Four very important criteria, as indicated in the syllabus, are:

1. You must work a minimum of 320 hours at the internship during the semester.

2. You must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 and be in Junior or Senior standing.

3. You must not enroll in greater than 9 credit hours during the semester you are interning (this includes the 3 credit hours for BUS 500).

4. You apply to register for the BUS 500 course prior to starting your internship and pay the tuition for this course. Any questions regarding payment of tuition should be directed to the Office of the Bursar.
