Commencement Day is a long-honored tradition at Ole Miss. The program on the Ole Miss Commencement Day involves five major segments:

Part One
Pick up your cap and gown Wednesday, May 10 through Friday, May 12 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m, C.M. "Tad" Smith Coliseum. Caps and Gowns may also be picked up on Graduation Day between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. at the Bookstore in the Jackson Avenue Center. Reader cards are available for regional campus graduates at the Coliseum prior to the 11:00 a.m. ceremony. Oxford Campus graduates reader cards are available Thursday, May 4 through Friday, May 12 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. in Holman 252.

Part Two
The Morning Exercise in the Grove is ceremonial, and all graduates of the University participate. Graduates from each school sit together, and at the appropriate moment, they rise and are presented by the school's Dean to the Chancellor of the University. The Provost confers the degrees en masse. Individual diplomas are not given at this time.

Seating for guests in the Morning Exercise is not limited.  The important note is that diplomas are not awarded at the Morning Exercise in the Grove.

Part Three
The School of Business ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m. following the morning program in the Grove. This ceremony takes place in the C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum. There is no limit to the number of guests a graduate may invite to the Ceremony in the Coliseum.

Part Four
The 11:00 a.m. exercise in the Coliseum features short speeches by the Dean of the School of Business, President of the MBA Class, and the Class Marshal of the Undergraduate Class. Your attendance is encouraged.

Part Five
Regalia will be returned at designated areas at the conclusion of the 11:00 a.m. exercise.
